Mexico

Every year for Christmas, until I was 12, my family went on mission trips to Mexico. When i think of my time spent in mexico, the first things that come to mind are: Dogs, poverty, and adventure.

I think of dogs because every year we went there we always found a new litter of puppies to play with. They were horribly dirty and always had fleas. Our parents hates us playing with them, but it is my most fond memories of going to Mexico when I was little.

Poverty: The parts of Mexico we went to were always very poor and dirty. I just remember wondering how people could live like this when we had so much. The most amazing thing was that I never once heard the residents there complaining They opened their very tiny homes up to us with open arms and gave us what little they had to offer. They were amazing.

When we went to Mexico typically there were about 10 of us kids. we use to just go explore and find the coolest things. we would just wonder the hills for hours getting dirty and playing make believe. I think it was the most adventure i had as a child.

  1. I find it very interesting that one or the things that you think of is dogs when you think of Mexico. I have been there once and didn't see one dog, but then again I stayed in a resort. That's very cute that you remember them and how you would play with them. As far as the poverty I can completely relate with my experience. I strongly agree with the adventure part though. There is so much to do and see, it is like a whole new world!
